After Christine Blasey Ford went public with accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, members of the Democratic Party rushed to grab their torches and pitchforks and push back against his confirmation. Our friends on the left claim that Ford should be believed — despite the lack of evidence and contradicting claims — because she is a woman, and a Democrat.

However, in their everlasting zeal to carry out another high-tech lynching, they forgot to remove the political plank from their own eyes before targeting Kavanaugh. Representative Keith Ellison — who is currently running for Minnesota Attorney General — has outstanding accusations of domestic violence against him. It appears the Democrats are scrambling to bury these credible accusations.

Allegations Against Keith Ellison

Recently, one of the women who has accused Ellison of domestic abuse claimed that the Democrats don’t believe her story, and have threatened to isolate her. Karen Monahan, a former girlfriend of Ellison, said that he lied to and cheated on her on numerous occasions. On top of that, he also became violent.

Of course, Ellison denied the accusations, saying that he “never behaved this way.” The Democratic National Committee (DNC) claimed that they would review the allegations.

Recently, Monahan indicated that the Democratic Party is guilty of hypocrisy when it comes to the abuse of women. When asked if the party believes women’s stories, she tweeted: “No, they don’t. I’ve been smeared, threatened, isolated from my own party. I provided medical records from 2017, stating on two different Dr. Visits, I told them about the abuse and who did it. My therapist released records stating I have been dealing and healing from the abuse.”

Monahan also explained that four people have come forward and affirmed that she told them what happened at the time. But, she was not the first to make such claims about Ellison.

Amy Alexander went public in 2006 with accusations that Ellison verbally and physically abused her. She claimed that the lawmaker “grabbed and pushed” her during an argument. Ellison has also denied these allegations.

Democrat Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds

So let’s make a comparison. Christine Ford recently came forward with accusations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her sometime in the early 1980s. She does not remember the exact year, nor does she remember who owned the house in which the incident was supposed to have taken place.

She spoke with her therapist about the encounter, but her counselor’s notes do not contain Kavanaugh’s name. Moreover, Ford claims that two boys were in the room while her therapist’s notes indicate that she originally said four boys were present. At no point during Kavanaugh’s career did Ford decide to make her allegations public until now.

On the other hand, Monahan’s son stated that he witnessed the incident detailed in her Facebook post. Four individuals have come forward saying that Monahan told them about Ellison’s violent outburst. Moreover, he was accused of similar behavior in 2006 by another woman.

Keith Ellison

The Democrats have not taken any serious action against Ellison — indeed, they are supporting his bid for Minnesota Attorney General. To make matters worse, they are punishing Monahan for continuing to tell her story.

But, the Democrats and the establishment media defend Christine Ford, despite the weakness of her claims. They are dragging Kavanaugh’s name through the mud even though no compelling evidence supports the accusations against him.

It appears that the left’s contention that women should be believed only applies when it benefits them politically. Their willingness to rally the troops against Kavanaugh while giving Ellison a pass is their way of saying “do as we say, not as we do.”

In the past, the Democrats could easily get away with this type of disingenuous behavior because their allies in the legacy media would protect them. But these are different times. Conservatives can bypass the press and expose their ridiculous tendencies through alternative media, which means the left is not quite as free to deceive the American people as they might believe. Ellison will likely be elected. But, unless the Democrats have an ace up their sleeve, Brett Kavanaugh will most likely become the next Supreme Court Justice.
